My Memory Bank

As has been mentioned, I've forgotten many things during the stay in America.
I felt like a sufferer of loss of memory.
(Since my brain operated at full blast for the English conversation and the new information in America, there was no room for keeping all memories concerning my country, I guess….)

Especially I was embarrassed about having forgotten a part of the relationships with my friends and colleagues.
I surely remembered their faces, personalities, and how much I’d liked them.
But I’ve forgotten the happenings such as what I'd done with them, what I’d said to them, what I’d been said by them, what I’d felt then and so on.

Little by little, I recalled them.
Strange to say, first I recalled only pleasant memories of my own accord.
I couldn’t recall unpleasant memories without external prompts.
So, my friends laughed and said, “You are super positive!!”

Now I have another problem.
Recalling the memories concerning my country, I seem to forget what I’ve cultivated in America….
Perhaps my brain is too small to stow so many matters.
